| Inaka-Ya Sushi and Teppenyaki restaurant is situated in the heart of Naama Bay in Sanafir (Pacha) upstairs next to Peking. First impressions as you walk up the stair way are of a modern yet zen ambiance. The decor is minimalist Japanese style with red upholstery and black wood, in between the straight simple lines there are Buddha statues and water features of flowing infinitive pools – adding to that very ying/yang feel.
|
| Half of the restaurant is set out on the large terrace overlooking the buzz of the main Naama promenade, which in spring will be an excellent view point and place to dine. Inaka-Ya is more of a casual dining place – it is not your fine dining experience and therefore it caters for a different market. As you walk in the door you are greeted with a counter displaying some Sushi and the ingredients with the Japanese Sushi chef working away behind. |
There is one teppanyaki table inside and two outside. We decided on Sushi. The menu is fairly limited but we where told by the manager items will be added. It is more authentic with the traditional Japanese names for each roll or sushi – so you kind of need to know a bit about it. Currently there is no license for alcohol, so it is more of a popping in for a bite of Sushi after hours or before going on. |
