| A friend of mine decided to splash out and take his lovely wife for a birthday treat to the Italian restaurant Il Frantoio at the Four Seasons in Sharm el Sheikh and expectantly were very impressed
|
| The restaurant is quite large, but the clever placing of tables, low lighting, combined with the elegant European décor made the ambiance very secluded and romantic. |
The service was five star, and exactly what would be expected of such a prestigious hotel, helpful, courteous, but not invasive. There is an al a carte menu, but also a set menu described by my friend as the perfect way of tasting a selection of fine dishes. |
| The dishes were styled in the nouveau cuisine genre, small portions but excellently presented, yet fulfilling as there were four courses. |
| To start they had filo spinach parcels, then a delicate hand made gnocci course, following by a tender steak, and then delightful desert. |
